   It seems to me that Kodak had an alternative test for degree of fixing using KRST diluted (by memory)1:10  This was an alternative to the sodium sulfide test and was supposed to be more stable and give stains more like those in the Kodak chart. Bob Shanebrook might remember or else I will see if I can find the publication that had this.

This was also my experience.  I have read that KRST will stain if a
print is underfixed.
