It's similarly-priced here (SF Bay Area); I estimate my cost of Zerowater
at ~$0.35/gallon but I admit I haven't precisely measured it. The filter doesn't

to replace when TDS reaches 6. My cistern came with a handy TDS meter
but it looks like newer cisterns have an indicator built-in. Maybe next filter

Although Kodak and others formulate with some variation in water in mind,
I've found that using distilled for everything gives me great repeatability.
For example, if I travel and want to develop film, I can do so, knowing
I will get the exact same results I would in my home darkroom.
100% agreement. The cost of the water is relatively small in relation to
everything else, why not eliminate a variable when you can?
