My knowledge in English is not as good as I want, so I will not be able
to discuss this deeply and with the proper vocabulary. I will only
present here raw ideas of what I think and I apologize for this.
1) As we are Christians, here (well mainly I think) I will use the
Sixtine Chapel as an example. The ceiling was painted with naked people.
And some time after , another painter was hired to mask the nudity which
was unacceptable by current standards. So our vision, as a society evolve.
2) some time ago, we asked priest to have a moral imprimatur when faced
with dilemmas (sp ?) . Now we often ask psychologist "shrinks". So a lot
of issues are above one judgment and _we_ need exterior advice to help
make a decision. For good or for bad is another matter.
3) Do not forget that very young people have a sexual life too. Well
before their teen. I remember myself in kindergarten being attracted by
the sight of girls panties. It is one of my most ancient memories. So it
must have been very pregnant at the time it happen . So I do not think
that Jessica Mann was totally unaware of what was happening. I _do not_
say that she was totally able to judge what was happening. But she
knows, in a certain way and could have said "no", in a certain way.
4) I am deeply impressed by the feelings expressed by Shannon (and
others) feelings showing they WANT to protect their child and do the
best they can to have the best education/environment to grow. And I
admire this love of their child. But I think Ms Mann has/had the same
feelings.
And last but not least, I think Jessica can be proud now having been
selected by Ms Mann to become her model and become famous. We just have
to ask her...
I hope I'm clear enough.
