sounds like a good idea to me alan. i'll work on making a seamless loop out of the void music so it can play continuously without a fade at the end. there are a couple of ways we can do it so let me know which you prefer. the thing about this kind of tune is that there is sound that continues after the last tones have technically stopped. when i loop it in fl studio it continues to play the carry-over sound when it starts back at the beginning, but an mp3 file is not set up to do that. however there are ways around the limitations. fl studio is set up to save a song to mp3 either normally with a carry- over at the end, or with no carry-over, or with the carry-over added to the beginning. this way an arrangement can be made to loop endlessly by starting off with the no carry-over file then repeating using the carry-over at the beginning file and finally ending with a file that has the carry-over at the beginning and end. have i confused you yet ha ha? anyway if the game is going to fade out when the player goes somewhere else then we probably wont need the third file. theres a slight chance we wont need the first file either (the one with no carry-over) if the game fades the music n *after* the carry-over at the beginning of the file, but this might make for unwanted delay. so i guess i would suggest 2 files- the initial file with no carry-over and the looping file with carry-over at the beginning.
