Hi Greg,
Were you working with NoteTab Pro, Std, or Lite?

Thanks.

Jim

Hello,
I tried re-classing the window to an edit field, and a multi-line edit. The
problem then was that it kept saying edit every time I typed in a character.
It is very strange. I really wish I could get this program working because I
like it's outline features.

Have a good one,
Greg Wocher

Hi Greg,
I'll be getting the trial version of NoteTab. If I find a solution, I'll tell
you what it is. According to my memory, though, I re-classed the NoteTab edit
window to get around that problem. When I get NoteTab, I'll check it out and
tell you.

Thanks.

Jim

Hello,
I am using JAWS 13 and JAWS 14 beta. Everytime I type something everything I
typed before that is spoken. For example, when typing a word, every time I
type a letter each letter before that I typed is spoken along with the letter I
typed. This happens in Note Tab versions 6.x and up, including the new version
7.

Thanks,
Greg W.

Hi Greg,
I'm a veteran Notetab user, so I'm surprised when you say that it doesn't work
with JAWS. Are you referring to NoteTab 7? If so, which JAWS version?

Thanks.

Jim

Hello, There is the Boxer text editor from:
www.boxersoftware.com/Cached<http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:JnDDefgYOrMJ:www.boxersoftware.com/+boxer+text+editor&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us>

You +1'd this publicly. Undo
It is a fairly expensive editor but from what I tested it looks to be
accessible with JAWS. I have also tried note tab but it does not work well
with JAWS at all now. Although it does work very well with NVDA.
There is also Akel pad from:
akelpad.sourceforge.net
and Notepad++ from:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
Those are all the ones I know that work with JAWS.

Hope this gets you started,
Greg W.

Hi,
My choice would be EdSharp, but I feel that given company policy, that won't
work. Since UltraEdit won't work with JAWS as well as it should, and TextPad
keeps crashing on me, I've been permitted to research to see what text editors
I can use. Does anyone have any commercial programmer's editor recommendations
to put forth?

Thanks.

Jim
