Hi Laura, I thought the C# and VB command line compilers were shipped with the .NET Framework. Take a look in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\. You should find a program called CSC.EXE. That is the C# compiler. You will also find VBC.EXE, which is the VB compiler. All the best, David -----Original Message----- From: program-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:program-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Laura Eaves Sent: 29 December 2004 10:11 To: bp; program-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [program-l] C# compiler??? Hi all -- I've been reading through the book ".NET and XML" by Neil Bornstein (an O'Reilly book), that I downloaded from bookshare.org. It is quite recent (2004(, and points to a free C# command line compiler that can be downloaded from msdn.microsoft.com or something like that. I clicked on the link and waded through a bunch of pages but could not find a link to download this compiler. Can anyone help? Does anyone have a copy that I could grab just to experiment with the examples in the book? I know this has come up before but I can't find the refs. Thanks in advance and happy new year! --le ** To leave the list, send a message to:- ** program-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, send a message, to ** program-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, send a message to:- ** program-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, send a message, to ** program-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
