Tom you could partition the drive if necessary, or just use 
that jumper that limits the size (if someone can point you to 
that).  Or if all you want to do is just see if it's faster, it 
should work but show up as a smaller size depending on the 
BIOS.

Boy, I feel silly, never thought about disconnecting it from
the motherboard.  The reason I want to try another hard drive
is to see if a 7200 RPM drive will be faster than the one in
the computer, which I'd guess is 5400 RPM.  The BIOS probably
won't recognize a very large drive but I'll see what happens.
