Yes.  If it turns out that the now unused set doesn';t want to play with the 
big new set you just got, consider buying that 1GB set of two 512MB sticks 
that DO match the big set's specs.  That would give you 3GB, all running at 
PC3200 in dual-channel mode.  There's not much more you can ask of WinXP 
unless you decide to rebuild the entire system with even faster parts.
