Yes. If it turns out that the now unused set doesn';t want to play with the big new set you just got, consider buying that 1GB set of two 512MB sticks that DO match the big set's specs. That would give you 3GB, all running at PC3200 in dual-channel mode. There's not much more you can ask of WinXP unless you decide to rebuild the entire system with even faster parts. lol Peace, Gman "The only dumb questions are the ones we fail to ask" ----- Original Message ----- From: "cristy" <poppy0206@xxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, August 03, 2008 12:52 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: memory question > Thanks Gman, > > A fun time for a Sunday morning over coffee, so I guess in this case 2.5 > gig > memory is better than 3 that I have now if they "play nice" and if the > computer case/cover plays nice with me. > > thanks! > > Christine --------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember to trim your replies (including this sentence and everything below it) and adjust the subject line as necessary.
