It's funny.......I bought three licenses of Vista Home Premium when it first
came out. After about a month of use, I took them all off their computers and
went back to Win XP. I absolutely hated Vista. It wouldn't run half my
programs...was terribly intrusive for protection...on and on.
I recently bought a Dell XPS M1530 that has Vista Home Premium on it. I
planned to dump it and go to Win XP. I got the computer and started playing
with it. I called a friend who is a computer repairman and got instructions on
how to get rid of all the security crud. I also downloaded ALL the Vista
updates including SP1. After using it for a couple of weeks now........I love
it! The computer is a dream. All the programs that didn't run under Vista
before, run fine now. I'm seriously thinking of loading Vista again on my main
computers.
