Galt,
    You won't notice any discernable difference when viewing static pages, 
but drop in a fast paced game where the images is in constant motion and it 
becomes an issue (blurring, artifacts, jagged lines, etc.).  The double 
conversion (digital > analog > digital) won't be able to keep up with the 
onslaught of rapidly changing data.  As new, faster cards are released, this 
becomes less of an issue, but the current top speed of today's cards is 
still not fast enough to overcome this problem completely.  Of course, by 
the time the cards get fast enough, everything will be DVI to DVI anyway, 
making all of this a moot point.         :O)
