Greetings G,
I ran the scan overnight & found the two drivers the Dell tech had saved on
my desktop & ran them as administrator. Even though there were two
different downloads on my desktop, I think only one was necessary. My
reasoning is that the two techs prior to the last one only tried one. The
last fellow tried the other because the first one wouldn't go in. The only
reason I bring this up is because only one of the drivers went in & the
second one had compatibility issues. One going in is more than the Dell
tech's could accomplish. It went all the way through the Dell XPS Bluetooth
Connection wizard but in the end it said that the keyboard failed to
connect. But then it asked me to verify that the keyboard had sufficient
battery charge. Since I had to replace the keyboard with a regular keyboard
I took it off & placed it elsewhere for safety. Being a new keyboard, it
couldn't have been charged because the only way to charge it is to attach it
to the computer.

It is now attached & should be charging, so I am hoping tomorrow morning the
keyboard will be working. If that is the case, is it safe to think there
really is no further problems with this computer?

I will keep my fingers crossed through the night & tomorrow I will let you
know if indeed the keyboard & the mouse recognize the Bluetooth card.

Thanks,
Jan

That's perfect. Let it run overnight so you don't lose any computer time
during the scan. If you're about to scan a really big drive, it may take
all night to complete.

Peace,
Gman
