Pc,
Why not make a dos system disk then erase the system files on the disk?
Won't you have a formatted disk then?

The a: drive works just fine. It reads and writes. I was flashing my bios
and it asked for a formatted disk. So I pushed in a disk and went to MY
Computer and told it to format the a: drive. That is when I found that
I could not format a disk. But as I said, if I tell it to make a Dos System
disk
It format it and palces allthe files on it.

My XP is running the NTFS and I was asumming it could format a floppy
with the Dos format ( Fat32 or 16) There is no option to pick what files
sytem
to format a disk that I can see. But I guess it can't.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
