Thank you Maureen and all for your very kind wishes and very much needed
prayers to God our Lord and the Father (I'm sure they have a good
communication up there!). Let us hope I do recover. My thoughts are now in
the metaphysical, family, etc.
As for one aspect of the optacon III's display (or at least one version, the
resonating display): when turned on an angle past 60 dg on its side (as if
an optacon will do that every day), the display does become vibrotactually
weaker at this point in its development because I have yet to test certain
materials which should remove this artifact. So, that artifact, if it
persists beyond further development, is negated electronically by a simple
access sensor chip worth a few pennies as a part of the display, although it
could reside anywhere. When at a certain angle, it uses the sine function
through a form of transform to increase accordingly the current flowing to
the display, and the vibrotactile image remains as before. The result is
that there is no vibrotactile weakening. I had initially just set it up so
that stronger current would switch on at a certain set angle, but that
created a tactile "kachunk"-like fluke. Using the sine function (built into
most things these days) clears up the problem so one never even knew it
existed unless they read my scratch notes.
Ste. Stephen saw the Lord Jesus standing at the right hand of our Father in
Heaven. It was to encourage him as he was about to cross the finish line,
and also for a witness to others around him, certainly for the believers.

I wish you the very best in your medical adventures. I fully understand
why you can only think from one appointment to the next. Do consider
Catherine's request. Your work must go on for the new Optacon. To Dave
Godfrey and Richard Oehm, I'd add the researchers in Scotland and
Australia who've shown an interest in the technology.
Thanks for all you've done!

Charles,
While you still can, you might consider turning over your notes and
schematics and other work you have done on the new Optacon to Dave Godfrey
or Rochard Oehm or somebody of your choice who could carry on for you. I
and all the rest of the list too would hate to see all your hard work lost
forever. Think about it?
We're all praying for you.
Catherine
