Chalk up another victim of Retransmission consent. Now that the cable companies are paying the broadcaster for their content, they have both the incentive, and most likely contractual rights, to limit access to the HD version for customers paying those fees. The lifeline customers continue to get 4:3 SD, but you must pay for digital to get digital...
