We have at least three Townsend’s visiting our feeders regularly now. We only
had one two weeks ago. They are most interested in the dried mealworms I have
out but occasionally take some suet or sunflower chips. They are frequently
chased off the mealworms by one of at least three Yellow-rumped that also come
to the mealworms. We had 8 Townsends for a while two years ago.
We also have three or more Varied Thrush and a Hermit Thrush eating suet from a
hanging tray feeder that I load up with broken up suet cake.

In past years, I've had two to six Towsend's Warblers that visit my suet and
hummingbird feeders during the coldest part of the winter, but I've not seen
them at my feeders this winter (granted, I'm generally only home during
daylight hours on weekends and holidays).
I saw three Townsend's Warblers with a flock of Golden-crowned Kinglets and
Bushtits for several weeks in the fall, but no kinglets or warblers since then.

I haven't had one at my suet feeders this fall/winter either. I thought that
they just decided to snub me this year, but their numbers may be down overall
in this region. It'd be interesting to hear from others.

My husband and I were just discussing the fact that we have not had a single
Townsend Warbler this winter.
We live in Milwaukie, Jennings Lodge area.
