I've had one at my feeders in Hillsboro for past couple of weeks. Also last
winter.

Dear Obolers,
I just had some excitement as a very colorful
bird landed on the suet with some Bushtits. It only lasted a moment, not long
enough for my rational mind to kick in and look for specifics. I'm not that
familiar with Warblers, and since it's been a few years since I caught sight
of any around here, my memory isn't fresh. It had bright yellow markings on
the head (crown), but not the yellow I would expect to see elsewhere, on it's
breast or flanks. It also had bold black and white steaks on the wings. I
don't recall seeing streaking on the flanks.
I will keep an eye out for it, to look for
peticular markings. It didn't look like other Townsends I've seen, but I
don't know how much variation there may be.
