My merge documents are all linked to a query. I can make a new document
that maintains the link but my older files do not. /g

Linda....I think I found my problem. When I linked these documents to=20
the Access db I used the db as the source. Since I didn't explicitly=20
link to the query the documents were linked to the table. I just tried a
small experiment where I created a document and linked to the query=20
before inserting any fields and it worked just fine. Your notes got me=20
thinking. Thanks for the help.
