He's got McAfee Anti virus and is not using Word as his email editor.

Thanks,

Janet

Are they using Word as the email editor? Running Norton Anti Virus?

Yah - we were hoping to not have to change settings back and forth -
Looks like we get to though. Would ACT! have the same issue as WinFax?
They're both Symantec products.

Clutching at any straw,

Janet

I don't think so.

Does he have Outlook setup to auto check mail every so many minutes? If
so, this will cause it to dial all the time...He needs to go into
Tools>Options>Mail Setup and tell Outlook not to try to check for mail
and not to autosend when connected and see if that stops it.

I knew it couldn't be that easy - He doesn't have Winfax, just had him
check. Would an AntiVirus program do the same thing maybe?

TIA,

Janet
