We're on a DSL - so it's not actually "dialing", but it is looking.... We
were getting him set up to check his email online while he's on vacation and
the Squirrelmail wouldn't work correctly because Outlook keeps checking for
the same email account. and then the technician was sitting there, with
Outlook closed, and the "you have new mail" box popped up, even though
Outlook was closed. When he gets here in the morning, the envelope will be
in the tray showing new emails, even though Outlook is closed.

TIA,

Janet

Actually....I just thought of something....are you sure it's Outlook
that is dialing? Could it be his browser or antivirus program trying to
look for updates? Possibly some spyware on his system that is trying to
phone home? What makes you think it is Outlook that is dialing?

I knew it couldn't be that easy - He doesn't have Winfax, just had him
check. Would an AntiVirus program do the same thing maybe?

TIA,

Janet
