James....it may not be Exchange Server that she's configured to use, but she
may have the Corporate/Workgroup setup instead of the Internet Mail Only
Setup.....to check this, go to Tools>Options and click on the Mail Delivery
tab...then click on the Reconfigure Mail Support to see which one is checked

However...both of these will work without Exchange Server and you can setup
multiple email accounts on either version....the only difference is instead
of going to Tools>Accounts, you go to Tools>Services...then, on the Services
tab, click on the Add button...choose Internet Email and it's the same from
there on....and you can Add as many internet email accounts as you want.

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2000

I am working with someone long distance.

I am attempting to help her to set up Outlook 2000 to pull mail from
several POP servers that she now has and to send mail through several
SMTP servers.

It seems to me that Outlook 2000 on her machine is configured to use
Exchange Server. At least that is how it seems to me because the
tabs/buttons/controls I would expect are not there.

1) How can I confirm that is the issue?

2) How can I guide her to reconfiguring Outlook 2000 to not use Exchange
Server?
