James-

Go to Tools>Options>Mail Services, click on "Reconfigure Mail Support". The
screen that appears will show you whether you are using the "Corporate or
Workgroup" or "Internet Only" option. Simply follow the prompts to change
the options.

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2000

I am working with someone long distance.

I am attempting to help her to set up Outlook 2000 to pull mail from
several POP servers that she now has and to send mail through several
SMTP servers.

It seems to me that Outlook 2000 on her machine is configured to use
Exchange Server. At least that is how it seems to me because the
tabs/buttons/controls I would expect are not there.

1) How can I confirm that is the issue?

2) How can I guide her to reconfiguring Outlook 2000 to not use Exchange
Server?
