Hi Rose. Not that I know of....if you set Outlook to automatically
check for mail, it will do it as soon as you log on. The only way to
stop that is to turn off automatic send/receive immediately.....or, just
hit send/receive as soon as you turn it on and add your password then

Whenever I launch my Outlook program it automatically checks for email.
But
I have it set to always ask for a password, so first it checks for email
and
then gives me an error message. Then I have to click SEND/RECEIVE
again
and it lets me enter my password.

Is there a way to turn off that first automatic email checking when I
open
the Outlook program?
Rose
