I feel for you Dian - I was on an Excel level 2 course yesterday! Smug little (very) old (very-er) me thought that she was reasonably ok with Excel cos of using it for 6 years. In first 90 minutes I found out at least a dozen things I could have been doing better and quicker before had I only been aware of other methods. The rest of the day was rocket science and absolutely brilliant! I went back to the office and *still* couldn't get a pivot table to give me what I wanted! LOL Now all I need to know is what the name is for that curious key on the upper row of the keyboard, next to the 1/! key, with ¬ ` and ¦ on it ... in the absence of a better name I'm calling it *redundantkey* cos up till now it's been about as useful as the AltGr to me! And for the benefit of anybody else as dumb as me in Excel, if you hold down Ctrl then hit *redundantkey* you double all your cell widths and simultaneously display ALL your formulae in a worksheet. It's gotta be the coolest trick I've seen in ages ... apart from the other 78 tricks I was shown yesterday of course! ;-) Anne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dian Chapman" <dian@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, October 11, 2003 3:22 AM Subject: [mso] Guess who has to learn Excel!<lol> Just had to toss this one out there cos' I figured Linda would enjoy this...I have to learn Excel for my new job.
