job...and in some cases, Excel is definitely the right tool ;-)
Well, that's a matter of opinion. Remember, Linda...for about 6 years I was
a designer/producer of financial statistical books and created some of the
coolest 3D graphics, logarithm graphs, data tables, statistical analysis,
blah, blah, blah charts.
And never ONCE did I need Excel to do it. ;-)
Granted...there were some analysis that did need to be done in Excel...but
those are the tables I'd pass to our Economist and let HIM to the analysis
and pass me the results for my charts! <hee, hee>
I'm not saying there's not cool stuff in there...I'm just saying that *I*
never had the need for it! A timesheet is one thing. But if anyone tells me
I've got to start doing data analysis using Excel...I'm finding a new job
cos' that's NOT what I can an interesting job. Web analysis is another
animal...and for that, there are much better tools than Excel.
