'|' is the pipe symbol. Using it usually involves 'piping' the output =
of
one program to the input of another. To see it at work, open a Command
Console, navigate to a folder with a lot of files and then type:
Dir |more
Press enter. At the end of one screenful you'll see ------MORE-------,
pressenter again and you'll get the next screenful. More is an output
control designed to let you see one screen at a time of multiscreen =
output.
