Well...choosing "unformatted text" will DEFINITELY remove the
pictures....unformatted means no formatting...to see pictures, you need
formatting

You mean Windows XP when you say WXP? Yes, Word 97 works on Windows XP.
But, while you are upgrading, I would suggest you upgrade Word....I think
Office 97 is just way out of date...so much has been improved....and you
don't need to spend the money on Office XP, Office 2000 is perfectly
adequate and you can find it cheap now.

Web Page may the wrong definition. Ex: this AM I went to the
About.com/Barbecue Site and copied a few recipes, within the site, by
highlighting text and the drawings/photos. Hit Ctrl/c, went to word doc &
chose edit/paste special, unformatted text. No drawings/photos but got all
text. Sometime the drawings/photos are critical to the text document but I
never get it. I think, in my ignorance, there must be a way. Same results by
selecting Ctrl/v but hard to work with document.
BTW, if I upgrade to WXP will WO97 work?
