Thanks for that info, Dian.  I was suspecting as much.

I do have Word 97 installed on my laptop, but I haven't yet added a network
card to my laptop so I can connect it to my cable internet connection so I
couldn't test it out.  So, thanks.

the Word document where the pictures are missing and click where you
want to put a picture and go to the Insert Menu and choose Picture>From

I had to put Office97 back on my system<ewwww> for a client, so I just
testing it and yes, you're right Linda. This didn't work back them. I
copied some stuff and tried Word 97 with no luck. Then opened 2000 and
it works...so that's, obviously, the first version to recognize web
images.
