Actually, it was ME who said I'd check it out and not Linda.
From everything I can tell so far...is that 97 works on XP, although I
can't find ANYONE who says they have been able to successfully install
Office 97's SR2 update without problems. Even Echo (PPT MVP on this
group) says she is using Office 95 on her XP system. WOW...brave.<hee,
hee>
So the best I can offer you is that you can install Office97 including
SR1 without issues I've seen. But no guarantees if you install the SR2
upgrade.

keep O97. I'm retired now and only use Word and 97 works great for me.
