Thanks Lisa and please tell me more about saving in the database itself. I also have DBs not controlled by the vendor in which this might be most useful. One thing I do VERY OFTEN is find the maximum of various categories. For example, I need the latest email address by date. To get this, I create a query called maxEmail that contains the person UID and the maximum date in the email table. Then I create another query that includes maxEmail and the email table matched on UID and the max date, the result of which I use for whatever the email address is needed. I have to recreate this set of queries EVERY TIME I need the current email address. Same thing for telephone number and home address or current activity record. It's repetitive and time consuming, not to mention boring (an not the best use of the powerful tool Access can be).=20 /glenda -----Original Message----- From: Green [mailto:1z@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 02:55 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Access Hi Glenda, Just thinking about your not being able to save SQL queries. What about saving them in the database itself? It's a bit more work but then it's copy and paste and you could even create a little app that runs the queries without that maybe. Oops... Just reread your mail. You could still maybe create a report with the SQL in it. HTH Lisa > Thanks for clearing up the query thing Jim.
