Open VoiceOver Utilities by pressing Ctrl+Option+f8
Under General check 'Allow voiceOver to be controlled by Apple Script'.

Many thanks for your reply John.

I'll get use to it I guess.

I understand Pressing Right Options and T will announce the time, I am unable
to get this to work. Any thoughts?

If anyone has info on a good SSH client I'd be pleased to hear from them.

Cheers,

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
I am not sure about an SSH client, so I will leave that up to someone else
who is knowledgeable in that area.

As for your editing area, remember that the cursors act differently as far
as how VoiceOver identifies characters. On the Mac, the character the cursor
passes over is spoken, while the Windows way is the character to the right of
the cursor. This might be what you are experiencing.

As for an Office package, the Apple Pages and Numbers applications are the
equivalent to Word and Excel.
