<if you guys can manage to count your votes in the first night this time.>This almost certainly won't happen. I am an election worker. I work on absentee ballots. They are expecting such a huge turn out that they hired extra workers. But the machine that reads the ballots can only go at a given speed. In 2000 I got home at 1:00 AM and the rest is history.
We are sequestered. No radio, TV nor outside contact. So we will not know anything until we are finished. Veronica----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Stone" <pastone@xxxxxxxxx>

The concerns you have about folks being terrified of Obama haven't been realized. In the polls his lead over McCain is steadily increasing. Thereare—what 20 days?—left. The people in McCain's audiences wouldn't have votedfor a lily-white, corn fed Democrat either. Obama's name and 'race' will trouble those whom it troubles; and they're too few to matter.
OKay, It's Paul vs. Paul. A non-grudge match. LIke you say, we have 20 days. We'll definitely see. That is, if you guys can manage to count your votes in the first night this time. awaiting obvious election results tonight, paul ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off,digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
