Agreed. Yet students, especially high school students,
are a captive audience for whatever haywire ideology their teachers
promote
agreed. And I'd also agree there are some teachers who can't be made to
'balance'. So external scrutiny's important. .

Agreed. Yet students, especially high school students, are a captive
audience for whatever haywire ideology their teachers promote -- whether
it's far-right baloney or far-left excrement. Occasionally, some indignant
student will tape their high school teacher's rant about Bush being evil
or Obama being Osama ... but for the most part, those jokers can impart
their great wisdom sans sanctions.
