I knew you'd like Fukuyama's new book, but you ought to read the whole
thing.  He never approved of going into Iraq.  He never represented the view
of the administration.

Lawrence, this is completely wrong. Fukuyama strongly supported the invasion of Iraq. He signed the letter to Clinton, calling for an invasion. He was a core, leading intellectual in the neoconservative movement. Go ahead: Google for +fukuyama +neoconservative.


It's now, in 2006, that he has broken with the neocons. His article is significant because, as an insider, he explains the ideas behind neocon and shows how they are wrong.
