I am going to have to agree with Dave here...Walmart actually saved
bussinesses here because people stayed in town to shop ( instead of going to
the city) and many new companys moved closer to walmart to share the
compitition...Most places that closed up recently were because of our 'tax and
spend' government or because their mortgage rate/insurance went up..not because
of Walmart.

I rarely buy food at Walmart because I learned to shop for 'buy one get one
free' sales at other stores...most of my wardrobe was bought at Kohls when they
had a big sale...and I buy all my CDs on-line or at garage sales/flea markets.

And keep in mind that many people today do a lot of shopping on-line so they
don't need to go to Walmart.
