Actually, that's not true at all.  We have many documents which cannot
be transferred successfully from Word Perfect (our former word
processor) to Word.  The trouble comes with complex features, especially
if Word does not have the equivalent (delay codes is just one example).

For very simple documents this does often work, but then so does just
cutting and pasting.

If you never get documents from others,  nor have to give them to
others, and it's free, then sure, go ahead and keep using WP 12 as jaws
6 says they support it.  But if you don't meet these conditions, there's
no question that I'd recommend you acquire and learn to use a copy of MS
Word.
