Hi Ralph, The web-based aggregator allows you to read your RSS subscriptions on any computer, so long as you know the username and password to your account. BlogLines is also much more accessible than Sharp Reader, IMHO. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ralph Supernaw To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, May 11, 2007 11:15 AM Subject: RE: RSS Reader Besides where the progam runs, what are the pros and cons of web based verses stand alone? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Darrell Shandrow Sent: Friday, May 11, 2007 11:56 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: RSS Reader Hi Ralph, I would recommend use of a web-based RSS feed aggregator instead of a stand-alone piece of software. The best, most accessible aggregator is BlogLines at http://www.bloglines.com. If you must use a stand-alone reader, Sharp Reader works reasonably well. It is available at http://www.sharpreader.net. You might also want to try the Thunderbird e-mail / RSS client from the Mozilla Foundation at http://www.mozilla.org. I've found that it is not perfect, but is reasonably accessible.
