Would you mind explaining what are the advantages of these programs when
compared to IE7? Thanks.

Besides where the progam runs, what are the pros and cons of web based verses
stand alone?

Hi Ralph,

I would recommend use of a web-based RSS feed aggregator instead of a
stand-alone piece of software. The best, most accessible aggregator is
BlogLines at http://www.bloglines.com.

If you must use a stand-alone reader, Sharp Reader works reasonably well. It
is available at http://www.sharpreader.net. You might also want to try the
Thunderbird e-mail / RSS client from the Mozilla Foundation at
http://www.mozilla.org. I've found that it is not perfect, but is reasonably
accessible.

Regards,

Darrell
