Yes, of course.  Then what does the message, however it's formatted or not 
formatted, have to do with the attachment, or with how or whether the 
attachment can be opened or saved?

?  The attachment isn't the message, and it isn't *within" the messsage.  . 
I really don't understand what's being described here.  Sorry.  Why don't I 
just stop asking about it and give up, okay, since if you're in touch with 
Freedom Scientific, obviously someone understands what is happening and what 
you're describing, and it'll be worked out.  Thanks for trying to clarify 
this for me, and good luck with this problem.
