Yes, but the point is, we are paying for them to do something that should have been figured into the purchase price of the product. All we are doing by buying SMA's, is funding them to fix problems, that are not being fixed.

In short, they have our money, and we still have a broken product.

Well I don't mind paying in advance but in my opinion Jaws versions 7 and 8 have been nothing more than bug fixes with a major version number release so
as to get a SMA from us. There is where I have the problem. As neither
version has enough new in it to count as a major release. Unfortunately
stability has been lacking up to this build which I hope fixes at least most
of the issues that have been reported to FS so far.

I was having good luck with FS support up to version 8 and all the sudden
support went way south and every time I've reported a bug for Jaws version 8
I get the exact same email back from them that basically tells me to check
my settings. How much longer is FS going to have us set settings in an
outdated mannor? Window Eyes for Vista says they don't care how your
settings are they'll work with it. Serotek doesn't care about display
settings and their product works just fine. Why does Jaws continue to
depend on us setting display and other settings in a certain way in order to
be sure to function correctly?

Well, the thing to do is not purchase SMA's.
Why do people continue to pay FS, for products that haven't been produced?
Oh yeah, I know, because you get 2 upgrades for the price of one.
Well, folks, all of the last updates haven''t even been worth $60
So, are you really getting a bargain?

Indeed, but some of these issues have existed since the very first 8.0
release. I am going to be incredibly upset if I must take another ding to
my SMA just to recover basic functionality. Ridiculous!

Hi Darrell

Thanks for that, I believe I'll be sticking with my current version,
as none of the fixes apply to any programs I use on a daily
basis. Let us hope that the blank virtual buffer thing is fixed
when 9.0 is released in September, according to the fs
website. Besides, this version i have now works well enough and we
all know that old thing that says, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Hello Chris,

I and others can confirm the issue still exists. Quite disappointing.

hi. any chance that the problems with the blank virtual buffers have
been fixed in build 2173?
I don't want to download this new version and install it only to find
that I'm still gonna have to load up internet explorer a couple times
before it works properly.
