hi Adrian and List, That's the thing, my preferred version of JFW isn't running. The way I make my preferred version of JAWS the default is to make the PC start with that particular version. This requires that you determine which version of JAWS is currently operating. As I believe Jerry Cox suggested earlier, you find that out by going into the JAWS menu with insert-j and then arrowing up to "About." Then press enter. The version you're in will be announced. If that's the version you want, press escape to get out of that set of menus and then press insert-j again. This time press enter on options, and again on basics. Tab through till you find something like "Start with JAWS" and press the spacebar to make the selection. Keep tabbing. Another option you'll encounter is to run JAWS from the system tray. I recommend you also check this option. If it doesn't say checked, again, press the spacebar. Then tab to OK and press spacebar. That procedure will make your chosen version of JAWS the default. If your preferred version of JAWS isn't running and you don't know how to get it going, I suggest you write again to the list. Discussing how to do that will make this long message even longer. I hope this works for you. Adrian ----- Original Message ----- From: Anita Hi List, How can one make a specific version of JFW the default, if more than one copy is installed? How can the settings be imported from previous versions? How can versions be changed, if the wrong one is coming up? That's what's happening with my JFW. Anita
