Hi,
I'm rather curious about this, too, since I'm trying to get used to Windows
Live 2009 on my laptop. In the View menu, you've got an option to view
messages by conversation, which is a toggle, and then, further down, you've
got options for expand and collapse conversations. On my machine, at least,
none of those three options works worth beans. Your mileage may vary.
Also, I took a rather cursory look, no pun intended, at the calendar, and
that seems to not work very well either, compared to Outlook.

Judy,
Outlook Express is the application being discussed here, and it does not
have a ribbon. I think you're confusing it with MS-Outlook, which does in
Office 2007.

Yes, but depending on the operating system, later versions of microsoft
use
ribbons instead of file menus.

Hi,

The keystroke that checked group messages by conversation was control H.
The
problem is that this is not a toggle. To undo it, follow the
instructions
that Mike gave you below and you should be back to normal.

Hi Cal;

What you have somehow done is turn group messages by conversation on.
To
turn this off, do the following;
1. While in any folder without any messages open, press Alt + V for the
view
menu.
2. Press enter on " Current view ."
3. Arrow up to " group messages by conversation", if this box is
checked,
press enter to uncheck it. Pressing enter will uncheck the box and take
you
out of the menus.

Hope this helps.  Take care.
Mike
