Yes I remembered that after posting, and it did the trick to get to a desktop.

My suggestion was to copy in the copy on the supplied CD but that file
doesn't seem to be on the CD!
Fortunatly the customer had made a complete back up his hard disc to a CD
before sending it away, so he was going to copy that in place when he found it.
If it isn't there, is it automatically created?
