I actually have a linksys router. How should this be connected, as it is now I have the modem connected directly to the ISA server box, then I have nic number two connected to a switch. I have a linksys router with 4 port switch. How should it be hooked up in this setup. Should I connect the modem to the wan input, or should the ISA box be connected wan input of the land.. Help me out here. U might be able to tell I don't know what I'm doing..

Hello,

Yes go out and buy a Linksys router and set you ISA server up with a static
IP address. Let the linksys handle all the dhcp stuff.

I can't seem to get my ISP's IP address assigned to my nic that is extenal to
the network unless I create a rule with DHCP protocol and giving external
traffic accesss to that protocol. I have my ISP's DHCP server address but it
will not work with that IP address as sorce. I'm using Cable for internet
access so my IP's are Dynamic. When the lease expires, the connection goes
dead if don't have this rule in place. Is there a different way to get IP's
assigned from my ISP to my external nic without giving the whole world a
peek..
