Tom, can you expand on what exactly the problem was and how it is fixed?

Hi Mark,

The problem is fixed, and they won't charge you for it if the problem is
fixed with the fix. I can tell you that DNS issues were the bane of my
existance until the hotfix. Now I hardly think about the ISA firewall other
than reviewing the logs each day. Services don't die, name resolution never
goes away, and the service and Web publishing rules always work. The fix has
been a miracle for me.

Don't even get me started on CP support! If you can even find somebody to
help, they'll charget you a lot more than MS.

Speaking of tee time, mine is coming up soon!

Thanks!

Tom

Tom,

I think that the question (for me) is "Where do I get the rollup hotfix?
Let's see.. I paid for the product... do I have to pay for the hotfix
rollup? :-)

I did find reference to this problem in this months Technet (I paid for this
as well) but all it said was to call PSS. Hmmmmmm...

I believe that M$ will fix the problem in ISA Server 2000 SP999999. :-) Or
is there going to be an ISA Server 2003? :-) :-)

Well, tomorrow I will be attempting to "break par" on a very difficult golf
course so I'll deal with this next week. Perhaps I will call the Checkpoint
sales rep. :-)

Mark
