Hmmm... Debian sounds more like a way of life (a religion?) to me.
Mr. Subramanian, with all due respect, Debian is just a distribution of
Linux.. and Linux is just an OS. That is - Its just a tool. It is perhaps
useful to solve some problems, for others you need to use something else.
When you make it up to be more than what it really is, you lose your
objectivity and that is sad if you are a professional who is expected to
come up with a solution which meets particular needs. If your 'religion'
prevents you from thinking objectively, then it pretty much compromises
your professional standing.
I am not in anyway trashing Debian or any other Linux distribution - I am
just trying to highlight the fact that it really doesn't qualify to be
called a 'way of life' or a 'religion'.
