Debian might have it's own problems, but I contest the second statement:

Where you can find advisories from 1997.

I can't see any missing months here either:

http://www.debian.org/security/2006/

and to add some ghee to the flames - is it something to be proud of to
have security advisories? Django, for example, hasnt issued a *single*
security advisory - does it mean that django is crap?
