Thent has to switch to a GUI screen, which it does with my 2.6.14. In this
screen, the individual stuffs being initiated like " CUPS, HAL daemon, etc
etc.." are shown and it proceeds to the Login Screen.
But with my 2.6.16, it stops here after the INIT screen and the screen
blinks ending up with a "X" like pointer. It doesnot get into the GUI
screen. It hangs there. I tried interactive startup by pressing "I" but
nothing happens with that too.
I have a NVIDIA GeForce fx-5200 AGP Video card which works fine till now
and a P4 1.8 GHz Procs. Is this due to the 3D card?
I saw vasudevan's mail long ago about some problem in FC5 with NVIDIA
card, is this anyway related to 2.6.16 ?
I do know the first reply would be "Compile and Build the Kernel" :D But,
i do want to know why this kind of problem occured. Can i post
same/similar query in LKML if its mainly with 2.6.16 ?! :)
