Picky, picky, picky! ;)  Seriously, what would be the difference?  What 
sort of add-on would be a net add-on, but not a net_server add-on?

There are add-ons for the kernel that are *not* hardware drivers (the 
net_server -- which isn't really a server in the BeOS sense -- for 
instance); these go in current/src/add-ons/kernel.  Actual hardware 
drivers go in current/src/kernel/drivers.
