This looks pretty good to me, it should definitely be easier to read
on a full screen browser (which is generally how I keep my browser.)

Something else that I think might be a good addition in general is
just something at the top to indicate this is the Haiku User Guide.
Like changing the header graphic to something like this (except
without the leaf cut-off, a better font and better placement, hahaha):

This is a good idea; but for consistency let's use the same logo design pattern as that of the website logo, that is:

a) Put the complementary text is to the right of the logo (so it would read "HAIKU USER GUIDE").

b) Use for the complementary the same typeface as that on the website logo.
