What do the rest say? Switch to Noto as system default and update to
freetype 2.7?
I'd suggest to review first the Haikuports recipes for this font
anyway. This looks like a mess.
I can do that.
It's done. As Humdinger commented on the Haikuports recipe, the fonts
menu is now a bit overloaded with various locale variants of Noto.
Wouldn't it make sense to show by default fonts which fit the locale?
Windows 7 does it, should be doable also in Haiku, but might require
Fontconfig.
